Italy’s finance police have taken action against UPS Italy, seizing approximately €86.5 million ($94.5 million) as part of an investigation into alleged tax fraud and illegal labour practices. According to a 94-page seizure order, UPS Italy is suspected of acting as the direct employer of around 8,500 workers, despite formally being employed by cooperative labour contractor companies.
