RFK Jr. Gains Support: Wall Street Exec & 17% Approval Among Dems

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Gains Support from Wall Street Executive Omeed Malik

Anti-vaccine activist and presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has garnered support from veteran Wall Street executive Omeed Malik. Last month, Malik brought Kennedy to a private dinner at the Bellagio in Las Vegas to mingle with various influential political figures, sources say.

SCALE Global Business Summit

The dinner coincided with the SCALE Global Business Summit and was attended by key political personalities such as Hillary Clinton, Gary Cohn, Mike Pompeo, Boris Johnson, Larry Summers, and Marc Lasry. While Kennedy did not present himself as a candidate at the dinner, the gatherings serve to bolster his political presence.

Presidential Race Considerations

Election-related discussions took place during the dinner, with some attendees raising concerns about President Joe Biden’s age. Despite this, Clinton also expressed support for Biden’s presidency. A recent Quinnipiac poll shows Biden with 70% support among Democrats and Democratic-leaning voters, with Kennedy holding 17% approval.

Backing from Wealthy Donors

Kennedy, the son of former Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy and nephew of late President John F. Kennedy, has attracted support from numerous wealthy donors. Venture capitalist David Sacks and tech leader Chamath Palihapitiya hosted a fundraiser for Kennedy this month, raising approximately $500,000 for his campaign.
