Don’t fall for the AGIX airdrop scam – Stay informed and protect your assets!

Impersonation of SingularityNET (AGIX) in Phishing Scam

One of the first artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives in the cryptocurrency space, SingularityNET, is the subject of a phishing scheme including a false airdrop campaign. Scammers claimed on February 9, 2023 that SingularityNET was behind the phony airdrop for their AGI asset, which had been renamed as AGIX over a year earlier.

Avoid falling into phishing scams

The false Linktree landing page that the con artists made bears a striking resemblance to the genuine SingularityNET website. They linked the page to a phishing website while using authentic footage from the platform’s creators and Cardano’s Input Output Global. The website requests that users bind their wallets on the Ethereum and Cardano blockchains simultaneously, which is not achievable with a single smart contract.

Monitor social media closely

The Twitter account supporting the false airdrop is unrelated to the actual SingularityNET social media ambassadors. Even still, a few genuine Cardano supporters have fell for the con and shared the message.

AGIX Harnesses the AI Wave

One of the main winners of the recent AI buzz in the cryptocurrency market is SingularityNET (AGIX). The token has increased by nearly 900% from November 30, 2022. However, in the realm of cryptocurrencies, it’s critical to be on the lookout for fraud and phishing efforts.
