Canadian University Dubai Accepts Cryptocurrency Payments for Tuition Fees

Prospective and current students at Canadian University Dubai (CUD) can now pay for their tuition fees using Binance Pay, a cryptocurrency-focused payment solution offered by Binance. The platform supports over 70 different digital assets, including popular cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin ($BTC) and Ethereum ($ETH), as well as meme coins like Shiba Inu ($SHIB) and Dogecoin ($DOGE), among others.

Meme-Inspired Cryptocurrency Shiba Inu Added to Binance Pay

In November of last year, Binance added Shiba Inu ($SHIB) to its payments solution, Binance Pay. This move came alongside the addition of other assets, including PancakeSwap’s ($CAKE), Porto ($PORTO), and Tether’s ($USDT).

Cryptocurrency Market Recovery Leads to Increase in Large Whale Transactions

Recently, both Shiba Inu and Cardano ($ADA) have experienced a surge in large whale transactions, which has historically been associated with price shifts. This trend is occurring amid a wider cryptocurrency market recovery, with Bitcoin ($BTC) seeing its best January in a decade after rising over 40% in just a month.

Cardano’s DeFi Space Sees Significant Growth

The total value locked in Cardano’s decentralized finance space has more than doubled this year, reaching over $100 million worth of $ADA locked on DeFi protocols on the network. The value locked on the Cardano network started the year at around $49 million and has since risen to nearly $104 million.

Shiba Inu ($SHIB) has been experiencing heavy accumulation among Ethereum ($ETH) whales, with the 5,000 largest now holding a significant number of SHIB tokens, valued at $708,456,318.
