Ethereum Scaling Firm Starkware Open Sources Key Software for Increased Accessibility and Collaboration!

Starkware, an Ethereum company, plans to make its software open source.

The layer-2 scaling company for Ethereum (ETH), Starkware, has declared its plan to make one of its software solutions open source. The business thinks that opening up access to its Starknet Prover to developers through open source would improve communication and inspire more contributions to the prover’s and Starknet as a decentralized public good’s growth.

A Decentralized Validity Rollup is Starknet.

The network that the prover powers, Starknet, is a decentralized validity rollup, or zero-knowledge (ZK) rollup. ZK rollups carry out calculations outside the chain and provide a validity report, in contrast to optimistic rollups which presume transactions are genuine.

Starknet Prover: Developed from a Reliable Codebase

Based on a codebase that has previously shown to be effective, the future Starknet Prover will be successful. The current prover has handled 327 million transactions since June 2020, produced 95 million non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and settled over $824 billion in value.
