Xai’s Native Token and its Role in the Ecosystem
At the heart of Xai’s ecosystem lies its native token, which will become the network’s gas token. The platform envisions this token becoming the primary currency for gamers, facilitating seamless transactions for Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and in-game items built on the blockchain.
The upcoming token airdrop will specifically benefit owners of Odyssey Legendaries and Vanguards – distinguished by their unique profile-picture style. Additionally, token distribution extends to holders of Sentry Keys, enabling them to operate nodes that power the Xai network. Although eligibility for the Odyssey Legendaries and Vanguards may have closed, there is still an opportunity for qualification through the purchase of Sentry Keys.

During this incident, an unknown malicious actor created a duplicate fork or split of Xai’s Sentry Key public repository, leading users to a phishing scam. The project team responded swiftly by issuing new, legitimate keys to all affected users. As the Xai network prepares for its upcoming token airdrop on December 27, the project stands at the crossroads of gaming, blockchain, and decentralized technologies.
